The short version: we collect what the rewards need to work, and nothing else.
What we collect, and why
- Your mobile number
So we can verify it's you and send your one-time code. - What you redeem and when
So your rewards work and your history is accurate. - Which store you used
So we know which locations to keep stocked and staffed. - Anything you choose to add
Name, birthday, ZIP, favourite station — all optional. - Where you heard about us
The code on the link you joined from (like SOCIAL or GOOGLE), so we know which ads and cards work. - Your visits
Each visit a cashier stamps on your card, so your stamp rewards add up.
What we never do
- Sell your personal information
- Track your location in the background
- Read your private social media content
- Message you after you've opted out
- Charge you anything, ever
Your scan code
The code you show at the register contains no personal information. It is a random value that expires within minutes and can be revoked at any time — if someone photographs your screen, the picture is worthless by the time they use it.
Website analytics
Our public pages (this one, the home page, the join page and our terms) use Google Analytics to count visits and see which ads and links bring people to join. It never runs on your card, rewards, account or sign-in pages, and it never receives your phone number.
Ad matching with Meta and Google
To show Kroozin offers to members on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and to count which ads actually bring people in, we may share your phone number and first name with Meta (Custom Audiences) and Google (Customer Match) in hashed form — scrambled with SHA-256 before it leaves us, so the platforms can only match it to an account they already have. We never share your raw number, your visits or your rewards this way.
It is on by default for new members in Texas, where the law gives you the right to opt out. Turn it off any time in Preferences → Ad matching; your offers by text are not affected. Members who opt out, text STOP, or delete their account are left out of every upload, and members who joined before this notice existed are never included.
Your controls
Turn any channel off, pause everything for 30 days, download everything we hold on you, or delete your account — all from message preferences. Texting STOP to any of our messages works immediately and needs no app at all.
